Police have detained rapper Young Thug’s nephew after they believe he fatally shot his fiancée in the face.

According to TMZ, Fardereen Deonta Grier was apprehended on July 6 after police were summoned to a house outside of Atlanta.

The oldest sister of the rapper’s rapper, Grier, was crying, and his girlfriend, Destiny Fitzpatrick, was found dead in a pool of blood at the front entrance, according to East Point PD spokesperson Allyn Glover.

Grier initially claimed he was defending himself against two armed, masked attackers, according to the officers who responded, but Grier later acknowledged to shooting Destiny in the face.

Before the incident, a neighbor claimed overheard argument in the house. Grier was detained and given a murder charge.

Young Thug, on the other hand, is now being held without release after being repeatedly turned down for bail on a variety of RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations) allegations.

On Thursday, July 7, his fellow YSL artist Gunna, who was also indicted in the RICO case, attempted to get released on bond but was denied by the judge.
