Wizkid & Tems Are Top Winners at 2022 Headies Awards (Full Winners List)
The 15th annual Headies Awards were presented on Sunday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta, with Wizkid and Tems taking home the top prizes.
The concert was held outside of Nigeria for the first time ever this time.
The song “Essence,” which Wizkid and Tems worked on together, was a top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in October 2021. (with an assist by Justin Bieber).
Song of the year and best R&B single went to “Essence.”
In addition to their two joint awards, Wizkid won album of the year for Made in Lagos (Deluxe Edition), while Tems won best female artiste and best R&B album for If Orange Was a Place.
Artists who appeared at the show are Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, FireBoyDML, Adekunle Gold, Davido, Flavour, Kcee, Buju, Lojay, Goya Menor, Cohbams, 2Baba, Joeboy, Rugier, Olamide and Asake.
