A residential structure on Ilabere Road in the Ikoyi region of Lagos State was damaged by fire early Wednesday.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the Permanent Secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, said this in a statement on Wednesday.
He claimed that as soon as the fire incident was reported, personnel from the LASEMA reaction team were dispatched to the spot.
Oke-Osanyintolu went on to say that LASEMA was working with the Lagos State Fire Service to keep the fire from spreading to other structures.
“The agency’s reaction plan has been triggered for the aforementioned location.
The Lagos State Fire Service and the LRT are working together to put out the home fire, which is fast spreading to other properties, according to the statement.
At the time of reporting this report, no one has been injured as a result of the fire.

The Lagos state emergency management agency, LASEMA, has activated its response team to the above location.
A combined team of agency LRT and the Lagos State Fire Service are taking immediate action to quell the residential fire which appears to be spreading rapidly to adjoining properties.
