After being sexually assaulted twice in Festac, Lagos, the victim, now 13 years old, raised and gave birth to a baby boy.

An 11-year-old girl, whose identity had been withheld for moral reasons, has described how a car wash worker named Ezekiel Udoh raped and impregnated her in front of the Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, Lagos State.
The young girl claims that the 39-year-old sexually assaulted her in the FESTAC Town neighborhood of Lagos State two years ago, an incident she claims caused her pregnancy.
The youngster described her experience to the court, claiming that the defendant took advantage of her while sending her on an errand and telling her to deliver the materials to his room.
When I returned from buying it for him, he (Udoh) directed me to take it upstairs. He came and ordered me to take it inside his room when I got there, and we slept together for the first time. He threatened to murder me if I informed anyone.
The second time he slept with me, I noticed blood oozing from my underwear. I was unaware that I was pregnant. When my grandma questioned why I was gaining weight, I replied that I was unsure, she said.
The girl’s grandmother, who went to court with her, claimed that at first the victim was unaware that she had been raped.
“The first day I spotted a trace of blood, I assumed it was menstruation,” she remarked. You have begun menstruating at age 11, and your period is quick, I added.
“I only recently realized she was gaining weight. Not until my sister came and informed me if I didn’t notice her one day. It appeared that she was pregnant, she said.
After that, we took her for a checkup at the hospital, where we learned that she was five months pregnant.
She responded, ‘It’s a brother at the car wash,’ when we questioned her. She didn’t even know his name. When we went there to ask him if he knew her, he instead inquired about her pregnancy.
After hearing the minor’s account of the incident, the judge continued the case’s trial until September 29, 2022.
