She was born on October 7, 1980, in the Nigerian state of Oyo, in the southwest.
After her first marriage to Olumide Okufulure, with whom she had a daughter named Simi, Laide Bakare married Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo.
Two sons have been born to Laide and her new husband.
Laide went to Lagos primary and secondary schools. She went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos and a Diploma in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan in the state of Oyo.
Since then, she has been a prominent role in the Yoruba cinema industry.
