Buhari bans Nigeria from participating in the international basketball competitions for 2 years
The ban was announced on Thursday which is to take an immediate effect, the International basketball governing body (FIBA) was set to ban Nigeria over the lingering leadership crisis with the NBBF.

The sanction by the president was made known in a statement by Sunday Dare, The Minister of Youth and Sports Development.
The ban however would mean that Nigeria will not take part in the World Cup tournament and qualification process. Which has been their aim.
