Arafat Ajayi, a 20-year-old University of Lagos (UNILAG) student, has been reported missing by her family.
On Thursday, June 26th, 2022, the 100-level Educational Administration student was said to have left home and not returned.
Mrs. Adebimpe Ibrahim, her guardian, told Tribune Online that all attempts to locate her had failed.
“My daughter left at 5 a.m. on Thursday, and we’ve been looking for her almost everywhere since then.” We even went to the Igbogbo police station in Ikorodu to ask for assistance in finding her, and were told it had been radioed to other units,” Adebimpe added.
“We’ve also informed her university about the situation, but it’s unfortunate that we haven’t been able to locate her yet.”
“I’m already losing it, and I’m not sure how much more I can endure if she’s not found,” she continued.
Arafat’s whereabouts were also a source of concern for one of her sisters.
“She’s a laid-back religious enthusiast; having to be apart from her for so long is upsetting, and we’re expecting to see her again soon,” she said.
